I passed by this sign today while driving in Queens. Pretty scary, no?

Scary, but if it helps prevent accidents and makes more people aware- then wonderful!

yeah, NMF, i guess you're right. if it makes people think twice about crossing when they don't have the light, then i guess it's worth it.

yea that is scary, I don't think many people look at signs these days though.

At least there's a light there, what's worse is the streets where there are no lights...

I can never understand why people purposefully walk into oncoming traffic, it's as though they want to kill themselves.

was that on queens blvd? I've seen this sign in couple of places in Queens when I was working there. Haven't seen it anywhere in Brooklyn/Manhattan though...

omg that looks SO scary! what does it mean be careful?! shouldnt u always be careful crossing? wtvr i think the sign is pointless cuz:
1) what are chances of ppl looking at it?
2)it should be at every cross street- wont affect too many lives on one street...
just my opinion :)

1) well, i for one noticed it :)

2) they put it specifically at this intersection because someone had been killed there. but they do have the sign (with just the words "cross with care") in other places

hey welcome to my blog (wink wink)
thanks for finally posting!!
